apple cake/turnovers

Apple Cake

Apple Turnovers
Another Dorie Greenspan recipe :) So because I was too cheap to buy unsalted butter I decided to use margarine. lol Therefore it didnt turn out :(
I wanted to make turnovers, but the dough was too oily and too soft to work with even though I had refridgated it for 24hrs. I tried making a couple of turnovers and I used up more dough than apples.. therefore plan b was to turn it into an apple cake/pie.
The cake/pie turned out great.. or maybe it was great because I love apple anything.
:)

bluestone bistro

A heartshaped French Toast :)

Wild Mushroom Omelette - Cremini, shiitake, and oyster mushrooms with Woolrich goat cheese

French Toast - Apple Cinnamon Chutney
I lovee apples and I lovee mushrooms. Chris and I decided to try a new brunch.. actually I made her go with me.. even if she wanted to go to Cora's. hehehe I actually think this place is more worth it than Cora's. I liked the french toast, but there was too much bread. I really enjoyed the omelette.
Though, their fruits are not as fresh and their presentation isnt as cute/pretty as Coras.
We made a heart french toast! :) awwww... hehehe
